So, as I promised myself na I shall return ditey, I did nga! And I did it with my travel buddies Angelo, Michael and Daryl!
If you can recall my last post, we had a party night before this trip, so imaginin niyo nalang kung gano pa kabasag ang mga lolo’t lola niyo. Our trip was 0700H and since may masalimuot na akong experience in missing a flight (na ichichika ko sa inyo soon pag handa nako, chos!), 0400H palang maligalig na ang diwa ko. Good thing London Southend Airport was just 20-30 minutes away so less stress drilon narin for us.
The flight is more or less an hour only. And then, I heard this magical conversation while half asleep: Mike and Daryl talking about their spectacles
Aca: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Lol. I love my rich friends! Hahahahaha!
Schipol is the Netherlands International airport so ayun riot sa mga tao, flights and before pa umaura, we had to energize so we had to look for an authentic resto to feel na nasa Holland na nga kame, and siyempre anong fastfood pa ba ang best na makakatawid gutom program samen kung BURGER KING! Please don’t judge us, BK Netherlands parin yun so isipin nalang natin na legit na Holland food nga itey.
Bukod sa Amsterdam, Holland is also known for their Tulips. So, first on our magic list of very fortunate events is going to Keukenhof kung saan may pa-flower festival daw. I read from their site na the garden showcase ends May 17 but the tulip field would still be open to all so ayun puuuush kahit May 18 kame andooners. From the airport, we chose to get a taxi instead of a bus to save time which cost us 60 euros – 1 way (kyohala bear!) pero pampalubag loob nalang na mercedes and naka suit talaga yung driver and it took us only 20 minutes to get there versus an hour by bus. Yun nga lang, when we got there, isang napaka laking NGANGA! Chinarot ako ng website! They can’t let us in kasi nga daw tapos na and the fields where the tulips were supposed to be ay lumarga narin! Kalurkey! Walang napuntahan ang 60! I remembered, may castle pa daw right in front of this, so we tried to visit that instead.
The castle was actually free! So ayun nga, she allowed us to tour around the castle for free. There were actually art pieces inside pero wag na daw kaming abuso kaya pwede lang daw namin silipin from the windows. lol.
It WAS a castle, but now pang mga ganap ganap nalang siya, ideal for weddings because of the really big garden and nice landscaping.
Charoooot! Pero di ba, as Prive naman talaga kame! Napafist pump single single double double tuloy ako!
After 12 hours of walking around, napagtanto namin na naikot na namin ang kasulok sulukan so we have to go to the City Centre and check in at magpahinga.
Jumujulanis morisette when we got there so mega rest + nood muna kame ng GGV hanggang tumila at makisama ang weather
After a while, nagutom narin ang mga alaga namin, so no choice kundi lumabas at maghanap ng malalafur. We went around Rembrandtplein, and we found this Japanese buffet na sa umpisa ay namahalan kame pero nanaig ang gutom and since buffet, avail!
Shabu shabu. It was hard to miss this since ang ganda ng ambiance. And, level up ang pagoorder since they just give you a tablet, and then browse browse ka lang, choose what you like and your order automatically goes to the kitchen and just after a few minutes, ayan! Anjan na!
And since unli ang chibugan, order pa more ang labanan! To the point na wala ng espasyo at tuloy tuloy ang buhos ng lafur– na of course nawala na ang isip ko para i-document pa dahil nagrarally na mga alaga ko.
The dishes were really good! Kaso mejo emgoldex ang mga presyo ng drinks to order nalang kame ng order ng sabaw as panulak, and nung no choice na, tyaga nalang sa laway. lol.
After the sumptous meal, gala gala muna ang labanan. Of course, Amsterdam is known for their Dams so dun ang unang aura ng mga bakla. We also took them sa Famous red light district para makita nila in person ang mga sikat na sikat na mga kababaihan sa bintana.
Amsterdam Central Station
One thing I love about Amsterdam is the transport system is really easy to understand. First form of transpo ng mga tao is their bicycles. Of course, dahil team tamad kame, we opted to get their travel ticket. It was just 25 euros good for 3 days and you can use it all around the city mapa metro or tram and some selected ferries.
We took them to the famous Zaanse Schaans windmills which was outside Amsterdam so di na sya covered nung travel ticket pero kebs na kasi cheapangga lang naman yung 6euros return.
May dadaang dinosaur. Waley
Maze runner miniature version
Must try ang hot chocolate nila dito dahil super sarap and talagang legit and fresh cocoa talaga yung gamit
Konti lang naman ang ganap so after a few hours bumalik narin kame sa city centre and just decided to chill at the Museumplein. In other words, tipid tipid din pag may time hahaha. Plus side is, they have a lot of parks where you can literally just lie down and relax and have an impromptu photoshoot
Last day, pahinga alng sa canal cruise at lalamyerda na to the next destination
PS.
